We provide a comprehensive package to patients that comes with four different pieces of equipment. Two pieces for facedown recovery in the seated position, and two pieces for the facedown sleep position. Based on the experience of previous patients, it has been helpful to have different options for devices as it’s difficult to determine which is a better ergonomic fit as it varies individually. This also eliminates the need to move heavy items around the home during recovery which the doctor will advise you to avoid.
Seated:
Face down chair: this is usually the most used device during recovery. It’s very sturdy and ergonomic.
Portable seated device: a smaller portable device that can be used on a table top or on the patient's lap.
Sleep:
Bed attachment: this device attaches to any side of your bed that’s unobstructed. This allows the patient to sleep on the mattress that they normally sleep on.
Face down bed: a massage table that is used as a facedown bed. Can be placed outside the bedroom to sleep in other parts of the home.
Complementary items included in the package:
Facedown mirror: a custom designed mirror that enables patients to see what’s in front of them while face down. Can be used to watch tv or interact with people around you.
Face cushion covers: sanitary fitted covers for the headrests
Delivery & Set Up:We will have a trained professional deliver the package and customize it to your comfort. At the end of the rental, we will follow up with you to see if you need an extension. If so, we’ll extend accordingly. If not, we will arrange for the equipment to be picked up.
For a pre planned surgeries, we offer to deliver the package a few days prior to your surgery so you can familiarize yourself with the equipment and have the peace of mind that everything is set up and waiting for you when you arrive home post procedure. There is no charge for the earlier delivery, the rental will begin once you’ve had surgery.
